My internship at IU Health Lifeline has been nothing short of amazing. It has been a wonderful opportunity to learn and experience firsthand what paramedics, EMTs and all the different roles within a company do for it to run smoothly. With the end goal in mind of becoming a paramedic, this internship has been a great experience, and eye opening to what a day on the job looks like and the difficulties but fulfillment it can bring.

 

My responsibilities as an Intern at IU Health Lifeline included:

• Observes in ride-outs to understand
  emergency and medical transport
  operations

• Learning organizational values, standards,
  and team dynamics

• Gaining insight into patient-centered care
  and safety practices

• Building a foundation of knowledge to
  support future roles in healthcare
