Pecha Kucha Presentation Assignment
A Pecha Kucha Presentation is a short, fast-paced presentation style where you use 20 slides and speak for 20 seconds per slide (totaling about 6 minutes and 40 seconds). The purpose is to present information clearly and efficiently without reading off slides. The goal is to communicate key points in a professional and engaging way while staying on a strict time limit.

What I learned
Through completing the Pecha Kucha presentation assignment on the impact of ultra-processed foods and childhood obesity, I learned how strongly nutrition, marketing, and public health are connected. Researching this topic helped me better understand how ultra-processed foods contribute to rising childhood obesity rates through high sugar content, unhealthy fats, and additives, as well as how these foods are often heavily marketed toward children. I also learned how socioeconomic factors and access to healthy food options play a major role in childhood obesity, showing that this issue is not just about individual choices but also about environmental and community influences. Creating this presentation taught me how to take a large, complex public health problem and break it down into key points that could be explained clearly within a short time limit. In addition, using data and statistics to support my argument helped me realize how important evidence-based information is when discussing healthcare topics. Overall, this assignment strengthened my ability to communicate a public health issue effectively, connect it to real-world consequences, and understand how prevention and policy changes could play a role in improving long-term health outcomes for children.
